But a person can get the disease from anywhere due to any reason. The disease is unpredictable. One cannot know when one can get any disease. Some diseases are infectious. Infectious diseases can spread from person to person by various means including air, touch, blood contact, or contact with any other bodily fluids. These are means by which many diseases can spread.
Along with these means, diseases can also be transmitted by sexual contact. Various diseases can be spread by sexual contacts, such as chlamydia, genital herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, aids etc. Many diseases can spread through sexual contact if not taken proper precautions and preventive measures.

Among all the sexually transmitted diseases, chlamydia and gonorrhea are the ones that have a high number of cases. Both are sexually transmitted and have their symptoms.

Symptoms of chlamydia of gonorrhoea
- Pain in lower abdomen, pelvis, genital areas
- Abnormal discharges
- Pain in urination
- Bleeding

Although the symptoms for both the diseases are overlapping and similar, it makes it difficult to distinguish between them. But there is one main difference between chlamydia and gonorrhea that is the causative bacteria that causes the disease. The bacteria causing chlamydia is Chlamydia trachomatis, whereas the bacteria that causes gonorrhea is Neisseria gonorrhoeae. This is the main difference between chlamydia and gonorrhea. There may be some cases when the person may be suffering from these diseases but may not even be aware, as in some cases, and the disease does not show any symptoms. This condition where one has a disease with no symptoms is an asymptomatic disease.

As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure. So, it is always better if every individual is responsible and takes proper and required precautions and preventive measures to ensure they do not get any disease. But in the case due to any reason, a person gets any disease and experiences any symptoms, the individual shouldn't delay and seek medical consultation as soon as possible. It will help in preventing the progress of the disease and fast recovery.
